I like to use resistance bands to tone my arms (and legs and everything else). You should definitely give those a try.

Just slowly work at them, and don't get frustrated. I can only do the modified ones, but I always push myself to do a little more than I can handle then give myself a well deserved break. If you really don't like doing them just push yourself as far as you can and then let your self rest. Don't push yourself too hard and don't get upset if you don't see results right away, it'll take time, but you'll get better at them.

also, if you HATE doing them repetatively, I recommend the "Perfect Pushup", I get the same amount of muscle work doing 15 with the perfect pushup as I do doing 30 regular ones. Another pro to the Perfect Pushup is that it helps work the chest, biceps and triceps all at the same time. I found them for 20$ at Walmart, but I know they have them all over. There is also different things to do with them, I suggest them.

yeah i agree with you. i think i'm going to try that out. maybe there is a double meaning to why it's called push-ups, you push your way up there as you keep doing them lol. thanks a lot =)

Push ups may seem hard at first, but you just have to work up to a good number. I have always done real push ups(I find them easier). I used to do 2 sets of 25 reps each night...but I got lazy. I started doing them again, but I could only do 10...that was week 1, week 2, I did 15, week 3, I did as many as I could. Now I do 20. You just have to push yourself to do it! Just tell yourself you can, and you will!

Well... is it the dificulty level that is bugging you? Or is it the acutally pushups. Because there are articles on here that show you how to make pushups a lot easier!

If its not, then how about some bench presses. If you have acces to a gym... or even some weights, you can try those instead :)

Okay, my fitness plan is pretty effective for me but i've been told push-ups is really helpful for the chest and I want to workout my chest! The problem is, I HATE THEM! and sometimes, they seem difficult for me to do, even the modified ones, i just don't enjoy it. Is there a different workout/exercise I can do to work the chest that doesn't include push-ups?
