I think running (if you don't have a treadmill and can't go out) is pretty boring, I wouldn't jog/run in place. The jump rope idea is definitely brilliant. You can also do jumping jacks (play a song while doing it that keeps you on the same pace --kind of like every clap ends with a beat, to keep you going). You can definitely try some of the videos on here, they work really well for many. I'd also say dance, if you like. Dancing is awesome and if you have someone to do it with you, even better. (Me and my sister make dance steps and put them together! --it's fun too)

I agree; jumping rope is great, provided you have the stamina. You can burn up to 150 calories per 10 minutes of up-tempo jumping. Also, challenge yourself by changing up styles: one-legged, side to side, criss-cross, high-knees* (my favorite), so on. Jumping rope can be mind-numbing, so turn up the radio or toss on the i-Pod. Or watch a gameshow. (I watched Merv Griffin's Crossword while I jumped once, the time flew!) But equipment-less alternatives include workout videos/dvds, Lifeskool on Demand (my source), kickboxing burns a lot of calories...look around, you'll find something you'll love and want to stick to. Give your best to your workouts!

Some of the things that I do at home since I don't have any equiptment is jump roping, walking up the stairs, fitness videos ( you can get online ), dancing, etc.

Theres a cardio video on here that works great if you have an extra 10 minutes hanging around. Its in the video section, check it out!

You could also try jogging in place, or maybe the next time you go to wal-mart and such you can get a work-out dvd.

At home? Unless you have a treadmill (which I take it you don't), I think jumping rope is a pretty good cardio activity, provided you have the space. Ten or so minutes of jumprope can be just as benificial- possibly even moreso, I've heard- as ten minutes of running.
