Be proud of your dancer legs. I dance too, 5 nights a week, and my legs are super muscular but I love it! Wear heels to make your legs seem slimmer, but don't try to whittle away your muscle. What do you think is going to give you strength while your dancing away from the barre?

Hey well I understand what the person was saying before on the 1st post. But what I don't understand from the last post saying having a larger figure that is muscular and toned and having a thinner figure that is flabby or out of shape. That's not always the case. I was so shocked I went to the gym yesterday to exercise and I saw this lady at this place I used to go to (she worked there and probably still does). She used to be over weight and everything. And now shes soooo slim and toned and I guess goes to the tanning beds because she was very tan. I thought oh my god I wanna know what work outs she used! But at the same time thought ew, did she have to kind of starve herself to get to that?! I'm definitely not giving up food because I love food. I'm just eating in smaller portions and giving up a couple things. But yeah, she definitely was slim..and toned at the same time.

I agree with AJS- Muscle is a good thing! There's a big difference between having a larger figure that is muscular and toned and having a thinner figure that is flabby or out of shape. I'd take the large, strong figure any day!
There's only so much you can change about your natural body shape. And it sounds like you're just muscular. Working with your body to look and feel your best is the best option. Here are two articles that I think will help you:
Try to appreciate the good things about yourself and your figure instead of finding fault. I know that's easier said than done, but you'll feel better about yourself in the end.

Umm maybe you should try to focus on building your upper body to match. Like tone it up. I have very thick muscular looking legs as well, but seriously the way (I know of) you could reduce the muscle is starvation which of course is not good...and it might not work on the legs first but other parts of your body instead.... the dancing is probably what is building the muscle in your legs..but don't worry lol muscle is good good good!
