No problem! It's easy to see how confusing it can be when people say something like that but don't take the time to explain it. I think that sometimes experts, trainers and the like forget that regular people don't know as much as they do!

Thanks so much Coach Nicole. I thought it meant we need to exercise enough to BURN that many calories. All I know is, it's hard enough finding time to burn 200, let alone 2000. I appreciate the link to the article. It makes a lot more sense.

If anyone has ever seen the biggest loser on t.v., you probably remember the tough-love trainer, Jillian. Well, I was on a website of hers, and she said you should burn more calories than you consume. (I've seen it other places to.) That would mean that most of the teens on this site would have to burn 1800-2000 calories A DAY! That seems a little extreme. How much truth is there behind her little idea?
