| What I learned - this is to the muscle question - is that if you rest your muscles, they heal themselves and actually make your muscles STRONGER. Which means lean, tone, abs. If you don't rest it, essentially, you're just tearing your muscles every single day without giving it a chance to heal. xD

Lshred. I say grow,... what I meant was grow stronger. If you never give them rest, they will wear out and while I don't particually know what happens if you don't rest them, I know it isn't good and you will see better results by only doing sit ups or what ever every other day.

| dont worry same here. I do like one month I do running 3 days a week, the next month I jump rope fast, and the next I do Tae Bo. I really like tae bo or taekwondo and jump rope be cause you burn a lot of calories... oh and I also do 3 days a week (not same days that above) i do like 30 abs, 30 sit ups, 30 squats, and 30 modified or wall pushups.

| my stomache makes me look pregnant too. it's not fun. i'm always having people ask me when i'm due. to lose the weight do a variety of exercises. like i walk, sit-ups, tae kwon do and i i hold my stomache in and then let it out again (doing this helps strengthen the muscles in your stomache. it also tones. at least that's what my doctor says.)

| Also, try tensing and clenching your stomach muscles when your running. Honestly running I think MELTS the fat off. you just got stick with it for a week and you'll see crazy results

| Wait, wouldn't you not want to rest your sit-up muscles, if they repair and grow they'll just make your stomach stick out more won't they?

| My advice to you is just lose a little weight - that fat around your stomach will naturally come off. I used to have a puffy stomach too, back when I was ~110 pounds. I lost five pounds a couple months ago though, and my stomach "magically" turned flat. I didn't even do daily curl ups or anything like that. It's amazing what a huge difference just five pounds makes. However, now my tunny is starting to poof out again since my weight is creeping back up, so I'll have to watch what I eat closer. Hopefully it'll be under control by swimsuit season. Well, I hope this helps - good luck to you! ^^

You shouldn't do situps EVERY day. Lots of people don't stop to realise that they are working a muscle group. And muscles need rest to grow, repair and potentually become stronger.

Hey!! I Use To Have A Massive Stomach, But Now It's Flat. That's Because I Did About 50 Sit Ups Every Night. It Sounds A Lot But After A While You Get Use To It.
And It Helps If You Don't Eat A Lot Of Saturated Fats, And Don't Expect It To Just Drop Of, It Takes Time, But It Really Does Work.
And Keep Exercising, For Example Dancing Is Great!!
Good Luck!!

L,
There's no way to target weight loss to specific areas of the body. But regular cardio exercise, along with a healthy diet will help with overall fat loss.
Hope that helps,
Coach Jen
