you have to say that you care about them and that's why you want this. also assure them that you will do this with them. make sure they know that they aren't alone. what you are doing is good. it shows that you care.

I'm not trying to sound critical. That's not how I am at all, but I want my friends to be alive as long as they possibly can and I don't want them to get a health related disease or whatever you want to call it. Really, I just care about them.

No matter what you do, you're going to sound like the nagging mother because I hate to say it, but the way you're going about this is kind of bad... You're being very critical of their lifestyles and, even if they are bad, your friends seem to like the way they are. You can't change someone who doesn't want to change.

Maybe you could learn a bit more about good nutrition and do some research and find a way to do what you want to do without sounding like you're butting in. That will be kind of hard though...

Well,1st of all you kno you can't make anyone do anything they don't want to do,'till they ask you for help, but meanwhile you're doing a great job setting a good example for them, maybe you could invite your friends to go play a sport for fun and if their competitive then make teams and have big game(i know this works, because my friend doesn't like to excersie either, but we sometime go to the park and play b.ball,we're having fun so she doesn't consider it exceresing). Also maybe if have sleepovers instead of having bags of chips, soda and junk food, make slice up fruits and put them in a nice bowl so its appealing, when your friends see that they're gonna be like "wow, this is so good and pretty, maybe i should make it at home for my family" LOL, IDK I hope i helped. O yea and for the knowledge thing read the sparksteens articles i've learnt so much from them and if they ask and u don't tell them you don't know, don't make something up to make yourself look better,

MY IDEA: I've noticed that more than a few of my friends don't practice healthy eating or excercise habits. ANY. AT ALL. I try to discreetly be a good example to them by eating the healthiest possible school lunches, but they still choose their pizza. Then I got this idea: Why not start a summer fitness/weight-loss team? I don't want this to be another discarded idea.

MY REASON:
- I feel bad when somebody has to go to the office because they can't breathe after running just 1/2 lap out of the 2 1/2 required for the mile at PE.
- One particular friend always tells me that I'm skinny (I'm average), and whenever she says it, I know that if she was motivated, she could be too.
- I want my friends to be healthy and not have to worry about health problems such as diabetes.

HERE'S WHERE I NEED HELP:
-I really want to help, but it's not like they are asking for help, so I don't want to sound insulting or come off as the nagging mother type.

-The people that I want to help "hate excercise"

-I don't have any fitness or healthy eating tips, in case they ask.

-A lot of these people can't afford to eat healthier.

-Some have allergies.

-Does second-hand smoke exposure affect your physical health or pain tolerance?

-Other than DDR, I don't know how to make excercise fun. I mean honestly, walking is not fun unless you're at the mall, which isn't really helping the gas budget.

-Not to sound mean, but some of their parents will give in to absolutely anything. Even if it's not for their own good. Like candy.
