pilates is a really great workout to me i have an hour tape and it had begginer intermediate and advanced and u can do any of them to suit ur level, it relaxes you and revitalizes your body and makes u feel energized and if u wanted to u could switch up with Pilates and cardio every other day then you'd be building and burning all at the same time!! pilates is great but it doesnt get your heart rate reved up to burn alot of caloires. It does tone your body well though and gets your abs muscles working. There is a great Pilates vids on utbue called 10 minute solutions.

Yah i agree with coach. It does burn calories but i dnt think u culd lose a big amount of weight with pilates.

LIPS- Pilates is an interesting form of exercise. While it does burn some calories and does help you build core strength and flexibility, it doesn't result in weight loss the way that cardio and strength training does.
