XO-
The only major reason that people might want to exercise first thing in the morning is that it's easier for them to do it then (to get it out of the way) than later in the day when they're more likey to make excuses.

I wouldn't recommend morning exercise for you--for all the reasons you list here! Get the sleep that you need, first of all. The metabolic benefits of exercising in the morning are really not that much--minimal at best.

I always tell people that the best time to exercise is the time that they're most likely to actually do it and stick with it consistently.

Hope that helps,

I know that exercising in the morning has a lot more benefits throughout the day. It's just that when I wake up I'm hungry and if I don't eat right off I get weak, grumpy, and I can get hunger pains. Since you're only suppose to do exercise 2 hours after you eat, if I wake up late I can't do AM exercise. Even if I do wake up early I usually only get to do exercise around 10am. By the way, I decent sized breakfast... most important meal of the day ^^

Then comes the problem of school days. I currently wake up at around 5:30-6am because I take my time in the morning and I'm a girl... what can I say; I take forever to get ready. I really can't afford to miss the bus, which I sometimes end up doing without exercise in my morning plan. Then I can only fit in exercise in the morning if I have gym class; the earliest gym class I have is 10:30ish. If not then I have to wait until around 4-5ish in the afternoon to do my exercise.

I'm suppose to get DDR SuperNOVA2 in several weeks, so I'm thinking of doing that in the morning sometimes but I don't want to miss the bus. I could take walks too when it's nice outside it's just that half way through I'd most likely be hungry. If I don't eat almost right after waking up I feel like my energy is drained. So, you can see my current situation is a problem.

Is there anything I can do to enable myself to do at least some morning exercise during the week. I'm not saying everyday just once and a while; I think it'd be just what I need to relax and jump start my day.
