Thanks, I'll keep that in mind for this week.

Acting actually does get me out of breath sometimes because in the play I'm in we're singing and dancing a little so it does wind you sometimes and at the end of each show I'm usually pretty tired because it takes a lot of energy to be ethusiastic all of the time, sing, dance, and all the other stuff we have to do. I usually do some other exercise the days I act though... but not always. I'm trying to balance out my schedule, 2-3 days of strength trainging 2-4 days of cardio.

I hope I can manage to get all my exercise in this week especially with all that delicious food I'm going to be eating lol!

Thanks coach Jen for your help!

Kristy,

I'd take at least 1-2 days each week off from exercise. When you are counting "acting" as exercise, is this activity getting your heart rate up for an extended period of time? Are you sweating and breathing hard? If not, I don't know that I would count that part of your exercise.

Hope that helps,

Coach Jen

I was wondering how many resting days I should take when my schedule becomes overloaded with exercise. For example, this weeks schedule went as such,
Monday : 2 hours of acting, Tuesday: 1 hour of badminton, 45 minutes of dance (fast), and an hour and a half of acting, Wensday: 1 hour of badminton, 2 hours of acting, Thursday: 30 minutes of dance (fast), an hour and a half of acting, Friday: 3 hours of skiing and 30 minutes of acting, Saturday: Acting 30 minutes, and Sunday: 45 minutes of acting.

In addition I might be going snowboarding today for about 3 hours if I can find someone to come with me and tomorrow I might go horseback riding for an hour if my trainer isn't busy and the indoor areana isn't full. If I don't go snowboarding today should I go some strength trainning or just let my body rest from the hectic week; I'm quite sore from skiing but I tend to feel guilt when I don't do a lot of exercise or only like 30 minutes of acting... all though acting is extremely exhausting and if I can't go horseback riding should I do strength trainning then? I might go for a walk instead today to relieve some stress if I don't go boarding; do you think that'd be okay?
Thanks for your help!
