dance dance revolution is a really fun game. its more fun when you have more experiences in dancing because you could like burn more calories. why? dancers usually have rhythm and they could dance to the beat. beginners, on the other hand, only step on the mat without rhythm or anything. ahh. well im not very sure but thats what i think.

dancing is fun. you should definately get dance dance revolution. i think DDR Max 2 is the best since it has a lot of fast songs. but its your choice.

The PP is right--don't lower your calories. Make sure you eat plenty of healthy foods.

Beyond that this workout program is a good start. AS you get more fit though, you'll probably want to do a little more cardio--the minimum recommendations are about 20 minutes most days, for example. Also, you have more muscles than abs, so work them. Strength training should target all your major muscle groups--and that's really important.

Sounds like a good plan to firm muscles to me. Don't lower your calorie intake though. Eat healthy especially with all the exercise you'll be doing. When you get more comfortable try increasing your ab minutes... check out the 15 ab workout video that Coach Nicole has. I'll post the link in a sec...

Also, I have a question for you. My friend has Dance Dance Revolution 2 too and I wanted to know what it's like. She says there are workout modes on it... I want to get it for Christmas but I want to know if it's an effecive workout first, also does it help with dance skills? I'm currently in dance so yeh.

ok i really want to tone up for the summer - i know its too early for this but i wanna start right now so id look good by the time summer comes.

i have some questions though..

question one: do i have to lower my calorie intake or just eat healthily and eat 1800 - 2150 calories?

question two: will my plan work?

mondays: 20 minute cardio
tuesday: 15 minute cardio + 8 minute abs
wednesday: 20 minute cardio
thrusday: 15 minute cardio + 8 minute abs
friday: 40 minute cardio
saturday: 15 minute cardio + 8 minute abs
sunday: rest

** i get most of my cardio from playing dance dance revolution max 2 [heavy mode]
** every friday, my pe teacher makes us run 1.5 - 2 miles around the field.
