I'd categorize bowling as "activity" but not exercise. Many people get confused about what is activity and what is exercise. Just because increasing your overall activity for the day doesn't mean you're exercising. Personally, I wouldn't add bowling to your cardio tracker, as that is very misleading since it's light activity. Remember--every calorie you burn isn't fitness. Your body burns calories all day long just by sitting, walking here to there, and even talking. Would you put talking in your cardio tracker just because it burns calories? Probably not.
Don't get me wrong--adding activity to your day IS great! And every little bit does add up over time for a more active lifestyle, which we should all aim for. But would bowling replace your cardio or strength training workout for the day? Nope--make sure you still get planned exercise.
Hope that helps,

for my weight, 45 minutes of bowling burns 157 calories. ^^ you can track yours too by going here:

I'm pretty sure you can consider bowling a sport, because a lot of schools have bowling teams. Also, I think that you could consider bowling exercise if it raises your heartbeat when you play, and I think it does use a lot of muscles. Hope this helps.

I love to bowl and I was wondering if it's considered a sport or an exercise?
