Thats so exciting you guys have started running! It does help you lose weight, when I first started with cross country i noticed a significant improvement in muscle definition and strength after about 10 days and endurance after abour 14 days and lost about 5 pounds in one week. However the amount of weight lost decreased after a while because what i did was so continuous and i wasnt really cahllenging my muscles after a while so change it up for sure, like try sprint work one day then long easy run the next then maybe some hills or "race pace" run, changing it up challenged my muscles more so it was still beneficial to my wight loss and strength through out the entire season.Keep having fun y'all. p.s even if you hate running once you start it you will never turn back, its addicting! I actually crave the feeling in my muscles when i run now!

| ok, I personally know how hard it is to get out there and start running but guys and girls it is SOOO worth it! If you're like me and prefer alone time then running is good because you're not competing with anyone and whenever I play sports I always feel left out cos I'm not really as athletic. and if you're a social person then find a buddy to run with. and if you're super competitive then join track.
