| Maybe join some sort of sports team or club that will get you exercising and you'll be out doing that instead of home in front of your kitchen :)

LJ- Happy to help. The teen years can be a difficult time, when there's so much focus on fitting in and being like everyone else. Just be the best YOU that you can be.
AS for exercise, start small! You don't have to commit yourself to an hour-long workout when you're just starting. It's easier to build up momentum by starting with 10-minute workouts, and then gradually adding on--maybe 5 minutes each week, as it becomes more of a habit. Also, don't focus on how many calories you're burning, but think about having fun. Find things you enjoy like a fitness class or video, dancing, etc.

| I have heard of binge eating and that was what I was afraid of. I guess I will have to talk to my doctor. I am a very confindant person normally, but when it comes to my figure I am not so much confidant. THank you so much for your advice. Do you have any excercise tips for starters? I have a list of stuff at home I have been trying to do but I don't know if they are the best things.

Even though this might seem crazy, if you keep eating when you are not hungry and feel very little self-control when it comes to your food and eating, then you could have a serious problem that you might want to talk to your doctor about. Compulsive overeating (or binge eating) is a lot like what you describe here, and it is an abnormal way to treat food and your body. So check in with your doc and ask about those issues.
Secondly, I'm not at all surprised that you lack the motivation to exercise based on how you talk about yourself. Imagine you had a friend who you always told was fat, who you always compared to other people and you told this friend that she's fat compared to all her friends. Would she feel good about herself? Would she want to do anything to change (or would she be so beaten down that she'd be sad and unmotivated and want to turn to food for comfort)? When we talk to ourselves in negative ways, we're not caring for our minds or our bodies. It's a viscious cycle. Think about how you treat your friends and loved ones and compare that to the things you say to yourself. Usually, most people tell themselves things that they'd never imagine saying to another person, b/c those things are hurtful, negative and mean.
Try to be more aware of pointing out all your GOOD qualities--and the ones that aren't superficial. Exercise NOT to lose weight--it should never be a means to an end. Exercise to FEEL GOOD about yourself and to take care of your body b/c you deserve that.

| I am at my wits end! I was in cross country this season and doing great. I felt good about my body and who I was. I still feel happy about who I am but not what I am. I have no idea where to start. The thought of exercise in my busy schedule just kills me. But I feel my self slipping away from a healthy lifestyle. I am constantly eating even if I am completely full. I am not obese but for my height and frame I am over weight. You can see pictures of me on my spark page. Honestly all of my friends are fit skinny cheerleaders and then there's me LeAndra the semi-overweight trackster. Please I need motivation to exercise. You'd think wanting to be skinny again would be enough, but I think that mentally I have had enough with my body. Any tips can help. I would love help, ideas, and possibly a good reason why I am always eating, every time I pass the kitchen I have to stop and eat.
