Curly-
First off, keep in mind that most women have a bit of "fluff" in the tummy and that's very normal. In fact, what's rare is to have a perfectly flat or really toned belly, which isn't always possible for everyone to achieve.

That being said, all the crunches in the world will NOT help you lose belly fat. Cardio is the key because it's the only type of exercise that burns body fat.

OK, so I have been doing ab work, but I can't lose any "fluff" off my midsection. I have been doing regular crunches, alternating crunches (you know right elbow to left knee) The kind of crunches were you are sort of bicycling your legs while using the opposite elbow, and nothing is working. Should I do more cardio? if so, any particular exercises that are good for losing fat around midsection? I have fairly strong abs, it is just under the fat. what should I do???
