Yes. Like everyone else. Yes. And fast songs do help. Cause when I'm walking I put my iPod on shuffle. I'll be listening to a faster song, and I'll walk faster. But then a slower song will come on, and I slow down a bit. But my favorite song to work out to is "Move Along" by The All-American Rejects. It's not real fast, but the lyrics motivate me.

ya the music helps me sooo much. If I don't have music when I'm walking I won't be able to walk. Cause I'll be too bored

It really does help me alot.
When it's a fast beat my body start moving faster, and also I get so into it that I don't think about how tired I am.

And I'm also going on a concert this summer so listening to that artists songs reminds me and I will work a little harder.

It just so boring to workout without music. The only time I don't listen is when I'm watching TV at the same time.

Defiantly. Especially when I'm about to stop and a good song comes on, it keeps me going.

I think most people here have said it- i agree, hell yea! Also if you can find songs with different tempo rates and order them correctly, its incredible. The idea is to get the beat somewhat in synch with your heartbeat. It's tough to do, especially if you're dependant on one genre, but there's a program on the net that does this for you.

Heck yes! I used to watch TV when I exercised and I think it makes it go by much slower that way. Now I switch between the radio and my own music and the time just flies by. You should figure out what your pump-up songs are. It's fun!

The easiest thing to do for me is to get a lot of upbeat, fast-pace songs that you like and make a playlist for them on your iPod. So when you exercise, all you have to do is pick your exercise playlist. Then you don't have to be constantly switching songs while you're exercising.

i dont exercise with music and its so hard. i used to, but it was very difficult with the way my workout area was set up, i dont have an ipod so i had to bring down this old radio/cd player and i wish i had some music. i still dont understand how i manage to do the treadmill with the TV on. its like its not even there, i look at my time every 30 seconds...

the good news is im getting turbo jam, and that is supposed to be nothing but good music and exercise so im pretty pumped, only about a week left of no exercise music

Definitely. I can't even comprehend how people can work out for more then 10 seconds without music.

It really does tend to help, but it is important to choose wisely, because sometimes in the middle of the workout if the song isn't that good....bleh leads to alot of fiddling with the player xD

With upbeat songs when I'm indoors, it makes me work out with a higher intensity.

Yeah, don't pick bad music or music that's balad-ly. Pick an upbeat song, something you can dace to!!!

Unless if its bad music. Bad music has a reverse reaction on me when it comes to exercise!!

Most definitely! Especially when you're running and you've got a really fast paced or upbeat song, it makes me want to keep moving. Plus it gives you something to concentrate on instead of thinking of stopping. Try things like fall out boy and club music like cascada.
