| Thank you very much. I've just started doing a workout from usa hockey. It's mostly squats and lunges and lying leg twist and push ups. I can really feel it the next day.

BLUE- Here's the same response that I posted to your question in another thread.
Some of the best exercises you can do for the lower body are lunges and squats. Those both work the quads (along with the glutes and hamstrings too). Doing things like wall sits (where you squat down and hold, usually with your back to the wall) will be great for building both strength and endurance while training your muscles for a similar movement/position that you use in your sport.
For more exercise ideas, look at the many variations of squats and lunges that we have in the Fitness Resource Center. You can do all of these exercises at home with little to no equipment.
At the top of that page, you'll find our Lower Body Exercise Demos.
Hope that helps,
Coach Nicole

| I don't have much time during the week or weekends with all my practices and games. I need a quick short but effective workout that can help my quads and because I play goalie in field/ice hockey and ringette I want exercises that I can do in my room that will help with my goaltending as well.
