VBWB has some good advice.

But more importantly...who cares if someone sees you running? Be confident in yourself. By running you're doing something good for you and setting a good example for others too! I would NOT recommending running by yourself at night or after dark--it just isn't safe, especially while listening to music. Doing that can make you less aware of noises around you (people, cars) and that can be dangerous. IF you are going to go out at night, do so with a buddy at the very least. Safety should be priority #1.

So to exercising during the day, if you really don't want to go outside, maybe you can get some fitness DVDs to do inside--there are lots of fun ones out there, from dancing to kickboxing. If you can't get your parents to buy you one, check out your local library!

As for Reps and Sets- Lots of people who are new to exercise are confused about that. We're talking about strength training here. Reps come before sets. One crunch= One rep. 10-15 crunches = 1 set. Typically, you'd do an exercise for 10-15 repetitions and 1-3 sets.

Hope that helps,

i can't get up in the mornings either. the best thing to do would be to get a treadmill, like me. lucky me. but i realize that this isn't really a realistic thing... just to go up to your parents and say, "mom, dad... i want a treadmill. now."

so, i suggest perhaps going with somebody at night to jog. go with somebody close to you that you're comfortable around and somebody that actually wants to run. if they don't want to do it with you, it'll just make your workout impossible. maybe you could even run with one of your parents or siblings. it could really make your family ties a lot tighter.

other than that, maybe you could try bike riding instead... i feel a lot safer on a bike at night than i do on my own two feet. just make sure whenever you exercise at night, especially near roads with high traffic, that you wear bright colors. NO BLACK! it might not seem likely, but you could seriously get hit by a car.

i hope this helped. if not, i'm sure somebody else on here will soon drop by to give you more words of wisdom.

good luck.
