In order to know how many calories you burned, the tracker has to know how fast you walked. So if you went 3 miles in 40 minutes, your speed was about 13 min/mile. If you look up walking that way in the database, you'll be able to track it.

I looked up "walking" on the exercise log since it hasn't been showing up that i have walked 3 miles in 40 minutes for the past 3 days. Who knows. I type it in and it doesn't show up on my actual log.
What does "Snow Blowing: Walking" mean? I have no idea. I just know that I walked 3 miles in 40 minutes. The rest are just mile times and stuff.
