Good way to start exercising?

Use the ipod!! Make a playlist with songs that are really upbeat and fun - it really helps to motivate you to exercise.

btw, hula hooping is really great for the abs. i love it, haha :]

Yeah, I agree that you should start with walking.
Get on the treadmill and start at a low pace.
You can go for however long you'd like.
Then gradually pick up your speed and the length you walk on there for.
After a while, you'll be regularly exercising and you won't be as much of a couch potato.

When you're on the treadmill, listen to your ipod.
It will keep you occupied.

You also want to alternate between the exercises you do.
One day you could walk on the treadmill and another you could jump rope.
But you should try to at least do something once a day.

3.5 would probably be the minimum speed I would go, but whatever you're comfortable with

Hey there, so I guess you could kind of call me a couch potato, I'm not al that active besides horse back riding twice a week. So I was wondering,w hat is the best way to start exercising again? I'm looking to lose about 30 or so pounds. What kinds of things can I do with these: I have hand weights 3, 5, 8 pounds, a treadmill, a bike, a weighted jump rope, a hula hoop, and my ipod. I try to exercise, but I just never have the motavation, but when I do, I get bored. So any tips, or exercise things would be great!

Oh, I also ahve tae bo amped, and I try to do it, but it's too hard. x.x;;
