Most calculations include basal energy expenditure (that is the number that you need to lay on the coach) and then typically there are activity factors added on top of that which it sounds like the exercise you did. The BEE will be higher if you are taller and heavier and less if you are smaller and lighter since it is based on your height, weight and age.
The activity factors that are added are higher based on how active you are. Teens have the highest energy/calorie intake needs of any stage of life and your calculation doesn't sound out of line for weight maintenance at all.

Absolutely! The more active you are, the more calories you need. Calories are energy, so the more calories you expend, the more calories you need to maintain your weight. However, are you sure you calculated correctly? You may want to double-check before you base your intake on that number.

so, Im in PE/Health right now and today we talked about on calories. There we learned how many calories we need to just be able to lay on a couch, and then what we need to do everything we do during the day.
Now here comes my question. On here its 1800-2000 something...but my calculation showed I need 2,687 calories to be able to have enough calories in my day to do everything I need to.
Now is it partly true that some need more calories depending of how physical you are?
because I want to be sure before I take too much calorie in take...
