Congratulations on your great run!! It sounds like your math teacher will need to grade that test on a curve or throw it out. I'm sure you will end up with a favorable grade in the end!

Well, I had the first breakfast option and I got 13:36 minutes for my gym test... it was snowing! I am officially the fastest girl in my level, secondary 4, by 20 seconds! The second girl who came in got 13:56 minutes. Phew! All though my news about the math test isn't as good. I think I failed, and most likely the entire class did as well. I answered 6 questions with some confidence and the rest I guessed or did some weird factoring methods to try and get an answer. Some people didn't even finish all of the test. The teacher gave us the test to try and get our marks up but now if she counts it for a lot I'm going to fail the term. She tried to cram all of the factoring methods in 2 weeks and then on the exam she had the methods from the beginning, which we hadn't practiced a lot so I didn't know how to do hardly anything. It was so unfair. Hopefully she won't count it as much if almost everyone failed, which I think the majority did.

It all sounds pretty good and yes that level of carbs in the morning is fine. Be sure you are well hydrated before the race as well.
Make sure your lunch is good balance of carbohydrates (grains, fruits, veggies) and protein sources (lean meats, low fat dairy, nuts/seeds) and be sure to drink the water to replace what you lose on your run.
Good luck! Be sure to let us know how things go!

Tomorrow I have two exams. A 3km run for fitness in gym, before lunch, and a summative math exam after lunch. Both are extremely important. During the last practice run in gym I got 13:30 minutes for 3km, I was the fastest girl. I want to get 13 minutes on my test so I need to have a lot of energy. Math isn't my strong point so I really need to able to focus on my exam. I'm have a 12 inch sub tonight (white bread, grilled chicken, lettuce, tomatos, and cucumbers). Is this a good idea so I have carbs to burn tomorrow? Also, tomorrow morning I was planning on having 2 pancakes with syrup, a toast with peanut butter, a banana, a cup of milk, and a fibre source bar two hours before the run. Does this sound okay? Should I replace my two pancakes and toast with simply two piece of toast with Peanut Butter and jam? I think I'll run out of energy before the run if I only have 2 pieces of toast. Is my first choice for breakfast (with the pancakes) good? Also, I plan on having chicken noodle soup with vegies for lunch along with yogurt, another fibre source bar, and two tangerines to reboost my energy for my math exam. Does this all sound good, from tonight, to tomorrow's lunch? I really want to get the best possible results that I can on both tests.
