| It's all of the simple sugars that make your fat. Fruits have a lot of sugars that digests fast, but they're great for quick snacks before workouts. It is fine to eat 3-5 servings per day though. If you vary the kinds , them it's even healthier.

Only if you are indulging well above your estimated energy needs. Sounds like you have heard some info from someone that controls their carbs but that isn't necessary or recommended for teens since carbs provide the primary energy source for this age group. Fruit instead of soda or candy is definitely a better choice and provide nutrients with the energy.

People have told me that eating a large amount of fruit may become bad. All of the simple sugars make up the fruit can be added to you as 'fat' if you indulge too much.

Eating too much of anything "can" make you store energy in the form of fat reserves. Calories in need to be at the level the body uses them and for teens that is between about 1800 - 2800 calories depending on their level of activity, growth and development. Too few calories and your body changes how it stores and uses energy and much above changes how the body store and uses energy.

Someone once told me that eating too much fruit can make you fat. Is this true? If so, why?
Much loves.
