Sounds like you have heard about the fiber of fruit not being able to be digested.
Carbohydrates (or "carbs" for short) are the body's ideal energy source. They provide fuel for your muscles, brain and central nervous system to function properly. In fact, your brain depends exclusively on carbohydrates for energy to think, react, learn, and process information. Carbohydrates are NOT the enemy—especially for growing teens. It's important to include the appropriate amounts and types of carbohydrate-rich foods in your diet.
About half (50-55%) of the calories you eat should come from carbohydrates—that's several hundred grams of carbs per day.
Carbohydrates are found in lots of different foods. But the healthiest carbohydrate choices include whole grains, vegetables and fruits. Limit unhealthy carbohydrates like sugar, pastries and candy to a few times per week.
Hope that helps. Let me know what additional questions you might have and I will be happy to help.

Hi!
I know there are carbs in fruit, but i've also heard that you can't digest the carbs in fruit. Do they count? Also, how many carbs should you be getting a day?
