Calling Coaches: How many sugars??

The "sugar" inclusion in packaging really makes things more confusing and not near as helpful. If you are a diabetic you need to pay attention to sugar content but the average person does not. You know that foods that are made of simple sugars like candy and soda should be limited but if you are eating a whole grain/carbohydrate rich food that sugar isn't as concerning when your food intake is from a variety of sources.

You want to watch your carbohydrate intake and make sure that you are getting more then 150 grams in your day and make sure your sources of "sugar" are from fruits, veggies and grains/whole grains predominantly.

I don't know if anybody knows the answer to this...but I was wondering, how many grams of sugar would be acceptable (not neccesarily the most) for a teen to have?

(to elaborate)Like, I ate 2 healthy choice meals today, one had 10 grams of sugar while the other had 26 grams...was this wayyy too many? Or was it OK?
