Teens should be getting at least 1800 calories a day. You should space out your eating throughout the day so you eat 3 meals and 2 snacks...or, if you're like me, 3 small meals and a whole bunch of little things like fruits. Eating 750 calories a day will set your body into starvation mode (you're burning muscle instead of fat...yikes), and it'll screw with your metabolism, so you will gain weight when you start to eat more. After a while, though, your body will realize that it's okay to burn that extra energy because there is more food available.
Think of it this way: your body thinks there is no food. Therefore, it will store as much fat as possible to keep you alive. You should, at this point, both a.) thank your body for allowing you to live, because 750 calories is extremely low and you're going to end up dying early if you keep it up, and b.) start eating more. "Treat others the way you wish to be treated," so if you want your body to be nice to you, be nice to it.

Is it really bad to eat like 750 calories a day, because for me, that is a lot. Any tips on upping my calorie intake, if needed, without gaining weight?
