Every single word was there, but a special note was written to the side.
"I know you are reading this, Warwick. Don't pretend you are not. If you harm my friend, you shall be sorry."
Never had Warwick seen anything like it, and he knew that it really was there. This was no hallucination. But he also knew that the child had not seen this. He doubted that she ever would. The child knew nothing of Georgina, and he was safe.

While Narrel made herself a can of Spagettios and meatballs, Uncle Warwick took a look under the bed for himself.
He got down on his knees and prepared himself for what he would find. He thought to himself (sooner or later I will have to tell her the truth about the library.)
When he looked under the bed, he saw exactly what she said was there. Except one thing...

"Of course it is not me," said Uncle in the best voice he could muster.Convincing this girl would take a lot of work. Especially when her ghost friend was right there. He couldn't see her, but he just knew. Georgia was always the nosy type.
"I know, Uncle."
"You asked if there was anyone else in the house?"
"Yes."
"There is no one Narrel. Only my poor cat. But she lives just in my room."
"Okay Uncle."
"I want you to come to me if you ever see anything else under your bed, but I don't want you to worry."
"Okay Uncle."
"Are you better now?"
"Yes."
"Then why don't you go have lunch?"
"Okay Uncle."
As Narrel walked away, she thought to herself (I must be a pretty good actor. I didn't look nervous at all!)
Warwick thought to himself as Narrel walked away, (I have a lot of work to do.)

Narrel and Uncle Warwick came into the now clean library and sat in the chairs by the fire place.
"Well, why don't you start with why you asked about someone else in the house."
Narrel took a deep breath and let it out slowley. Georgia was near by and looked like she was about to hear a story from a magical book. Her eyes trained on Uncle Warwick, unmoving. He glanced at Georgia and then paned the rest of the library and finally rested his gaze on something right next to Narrel in the opposite chair.
"I asked that question because there was a message under my bed. It said 'find the blue book before he does or you will die', or something like that. Then when I went to look at the message after the mess in the library, in blood, it said 'he found it.' I want to know who he is. And I know it isn't you because you ate your sandwich and weren't in the library."

(What if this message was speaking of someone else?) This scarred her. She then ran downstairs and found her Uncle.
"Uncle. I need to talk to you."
"What is it?" He was still eating his lunch. A tuna sandwich and a glass of water. He looked happy enough to confide in.
"Well, in order to talk I need to ask some questions."
He looked at her thoughtfully and continued to take a bite. Then with his mouth full said "Go on."
"Is there another man in this house?"
"Why would you ask such a silly question? It is just me and you. You don't need to be afraid of anything."
This put Narrel off guard. Did she look frightened to him? She shook off what she thought would make him say that and looked at him straight in the eye. He was still chewing and he had a gleam in his eye that gave away more than he said. Maybe there was someone else. Could he see ghosts too?
"Was there someone else besides Georgia who died in this house?"
He swallowed and put down his sandwich. Then he stood up and walked over to her. He put his hand on her shoulder as if to comfort her at the loss of a boyfriend.
"Come, you should know more than I have been telling you. It was wrong of me to say that you cannot ask questions. You can always trust me."
By saying this, he hoped that Narrel would tell him about what the message said under the bed. He needed to know or he had a bad feeling that they would both die along with the others that didn't know the secret.

While Uncle Warwick took every gray book off the shelves, he thought to himself about the girl. She obviously thought he believed the message behind the mirror. (If only I could see that message under her bed! The orb keeps erasing it!)He kept mumbling to himself. He knew he had to find his book. He even remembered where he had put it, but that idiot Georgia had moved it while cleaning. Now he couldn't find it anywhere!
"I suppose it isn't here," Uncle Warwick commented.
"I suppose not," replied Narrel.
"I am going to have lunch. You stay here and finish cleaning up."
(WHAT!?) though Narrel (HE WAS THE ONE WHO TOOK DOWN ALL THE BOOKS!) But Narrel did as she was told.
The rest of the day passed uneventfully, but the night brought harvest.
"I'm going to look at the message again, Georgia."
"Fine, Narrel, but you aren't bringing me down too."
Narrel got down on the floor and peaked under her bed."I can't see anything! It's too dark."
"Here." Georgia motioned to a flashlight on Narrel's bed.
"Thanks." Again, Narrel went down.She pointed the light at the wall and gasped.
On the wall, instead of the scrapings that were there before, there was the words "He Has Found It". In blood.
Narrel reeled back, as much as you can under a bed,and threw up. (Ugh)

While her thoughts were racing for a better answer than, Wrong Bathroom, the orb flew past her to the bathroom. Stunned. She didn't say anything, she just hoped that that thing wouldn' kill her when she got inside.
Uncle Warwick obviously didn't see it. And a floating orb giving off light in the dark hallway is hard to miss. So it was only visible to Narrel and Georgia.
When they got in the bathroom, she saw a faint glow coming from the back of the mirror. And herd some scraping as though the orb was scraping the wall. Her uncle didn't hear it.
"So, where is this mysterious message, hmm..?"
"Be..b..behind the mirror." Narrel stated in a wobbly voice.
Uncle Warwick moved the full length mirror to the left and opened his mouth in aw.
Narrel strained to see what he was gaping at.
"SO! There IS a message here!"
Narrel could hardly believe it! The scraping must have been the orb saving her from cleaning the mess it made. Narrel was thinking what she could do for this kind orb. All she did was hurt it. Then it faded into the wall. (Maybe it can read my thoughts!) Narrel was excited by this new theory.
"What does it say?" Georgia asked. No one but Narrel could hear her.
Narrel read aloud "Find the grey book, then take a look. The secret lies within the heart, believe it or you are not smart."
Narrel knew this was obviously not true. The book that they were looking for was the biggest blue book in the library. And she knew she had to find it before "He" does, or they will die. Her uncle interupted her thoughts.
"I know of a grey book. No, no... it couldn't be. I have lots of grey books. This message is...is..."
"something we should take to heart." Narrel finished for him. "That's why we...I was looking in the library." (I hope he didn't catch that.) She thought. "I am sorry I made a mess. I just wanted to know the secret."
"So do I!" Her uncle looked like a little boy wanting to play an adventure game. Then he got all excited and said "I will not rest till I find that secret!"
(Great. Now it will be even harder to find what we are looking for.) So they both raced down the stairs and got to the library.
Georgia followed at a slow stroll. Looking at the walls carefully as though the orb might pop out and hurt her again. Being a ghost, nothing should hurt her. This upset Georgia terribly.
While running down the hallway with this "new uncle", Narrel looked back and saw her friend. She knew she couldn't stop running or her uncle might turn back into himself again.
They finally got to the library. Looking around, they saw papers everywhere. Book lie on the ground, a lamp was smashed to pieces. The fire place was filled up with books quite neatly actually and went all the way up till it looked like a wall made out of books. (That's odd.) Some book cases out of the 10 that Uncle warwick had were completley cleared out those were on the opposite wall from where Narrel and Georgia blacked out. The ones above where they collaped were still in tact and looked like they were completley dustless. (That's REALLY odd!)
"Well, we'd better get to work!" Uncle Warwick announced.

Narrel opened her eyes, ready to shut them as soon as she saw the orb.
"It's gone, Georgia."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Okay."
They both got up and looked around.Everything was a disaster! Books thrown off shelves, bookshelves knocked over, and pictures upside-down on the floor.
"Uncle's going to kill us," Narrel whispered to herself.
"You could say that."
Narrel span around to see Uncle Warwick towering over her. His glare burrowed down into her skin.
"Uncle!"
"Yes."
She hesitated. "I'm very sorry for ruining your library."
"I want it cleaned by lunch."
"Lunch?!"
"Yes, Narrel."
"Oh, but Uncle...I was looking for a book."
"Which one."
Narrel knew she would have to tell him about the message under her bed, but did not want to. Instead she sent him on a goose chase.
"I found a message behind the mirror in the bathroom. It talked about finding a book."
"I see," said Uncle. He seemed to think about this answer. "You are excused from cleaning. I want you to show me that message."
Narrel was thinking of excuses on the way to the bathroom. Disappeared? No. Wrong Bathroom? Sure.

"I don't know the answer to the baseball question but I hope that you didn't hurt it!" Georgia was in a little bit of a panic.
The orb slowly got up and hovered in the air. It started to turn red and spin very fast. All around the room lit up in blood red color. Narrel freaked out and unlocked the door and ran down to library.
She felt safe with the open space, the fireplace, and the multiple books around her. Then she remembered the message on the wall.
Georgia entered with a look that Narrel hadn't seen before. Georgia walked toward Narrel in a zombie like way. When she reached Narrel she collapsed and fell to the ground, going right through Narrel.
Narrel instently knew everything that Gerogia was thinking, feeling and saw the moment before. The orb had started spinning rapidly, turned even more red then bounced all around the room. She saw the orb coming right into her vision, Georgia's vision that was. (It must have hit her right in the head.) Narrel thought. Right after she thought that, she knew what Georgia thought. (What? Run! RUN! I have to get out of here!!) Georgia was frightened tremendously and wanted to be with her friend Narrel.
When all of this went through Narrel mind almost all at once, she felt weary and collaped landing next to her ghost friend.

Narrel woke up to the orb's light coming from the front of her bead. Instinctively she grabbed a baseball bat that was nearby and swung at the orb. It smashed on impact and fell to the ground. Narrel looked at the baseball bat curiously. "Where did that come from?!" she said with fear in her voice. "Why was it by my bed? And how did that orb get in my room while I had my door locked?"

After they read the message, the orb gentley floated out from under the bed. Narrel and Georgia followed it with grace and curiosity, and a little confusion about the message.
The orb dissapeard through the door and Narrel's heart missed a beat when it did. When Narrel opened the door, she saw her uncle coming down the hallway towards her room with a mixed look on his face. It looked like fear, anger, tiredness, and a look that suggests he has something on his mind. Narrel instinctivley shut the door, ran and jupmed onto the bed, covered herself as quickley as possible and shut her eyes.
As soon as she did, the door opened and Uncle Warwick stood in the doorway. He stared at Narrel like he knew what she was up to. After a while, he didn't make a sound. Narrel suspected that he had gone. So she opened her eyes and jumped out of bed and almost collapesed when she saw him in the doorway.
"What were you doing?"
"I..I...had a bad dream. I jumped out of bed because I was scared."
"Scared of what? Your DREAM? Dreams cannot harm a person. But if you run into someone after you had a dream it can sure hurt others. Go back to bed. I will have breakfast ready for you in the morning."
Narrel pretended to be tiredly sluggish and flopped back into bed. After pretending to be tired, and the exciting things that happend that day, she actually was tired. It hit her like a trap snapping shut, and before she even thought about following the friendly orb, she was asleep.

When they got over to the bed, they stopped and stared at what might be the crazyest, stupidest or most brave thing they have ever done in their lives, or afterlife.
"What do you think is under there?" Narrel couldn't think of anything else. By this time they were almost comfortable following a strange orb and were begining to talk normally again.
"I think it's a secret passage! Why wouldn't it be? We are in a mansion with a creepy uncle, it's now dark out and we are following an orb that gives off light. This is sort of exciting! I wonder where it leads!"
When they finally got enough courage to look under the bed and actually see what was under there, Georgia was a little depressed. But Narrel was at a loss for words.
On the wall where the head of the bed was, there was a message carved out. It looked like it was carved into the wall using fingernails. They had a small width, like a childs. But more importantly was the actually message. It said...
(Put a message there. Make it CREEPY! And make it so that there are lots of possiblities that can come from it. LOTS of POSSIBILITIES.)

Narrel let out a scream! Something had a hold of her hand! It was cold, nothing that she could imagine right off the bat. Then a strange glow came from where her hand was. She looked down and saw the same thing that came at her in the bathroom. Somehow it was holding her hand. It was as cold as the snow, but it soothed Narrel after the scream died in her throat.
"Narrel!! Hang on!"
"It's alright Georgia. I don't think this thing wants to hurt us."
As if on cue, the light came out of the drawer and hovered in the air in front of their faces. It shimmered in the evermoving light. It was sort of yellow and a little bigger than a baseball.
Narrel and Georgia stared at it in wonder, mouths slightly open. They didn't want to take their eyes off of it for fear it might dissapear it seemed so fragile a thing.
After what seemed like an hour, it moved. It flowted towards the bed and went under like it wanted them to follow it.
"What is it doing?" Asked Narrel in sort of a hushed tone, eyes never moving from where the light was.
"I think it wants us to follow it."
"I don't think we should."
"What if it could help us solve the mysteries?"
Narrel thought of that for a split seconed then moved foward to follow the strange host. Georgia followed too.

"Narrrrreelllll....." Georgia was almost whispering in a high pitched tone
"What? WHAT!!?? Can I come over? Are you ok with that?" Narrel was really excited because when Georgia was alive, that was her "scared" voice.
"Yeah...I think you need to. I... This..." She was totally at a loss for words now. This upset Narrel as she walked over.
"Ok. Just tell me what is in there!! I want to know!! Tell me tell me tell me tell me tell me!!!!!"
"Um... either your uncle was right, or he killed ME!"
Narrel's head was spinning now. Georgia wouldn't lie about this kind of thing. Narrel knew she couldn't with such a straight/ scared face.
"Should I open it?"
"You can try but I advise you not to till tomarrow morning."
"Why?"
"It will give you nightmares."
"Oh, come on! Now you are really joking!"
But as she said that, she tried to open the drawer. Ofcourse when something has a lock pad on it you expect it to be locked. It was. But the other one wasn't. So she tried that one. It was OPEN!
When Narrel looked inside, she didn't see anything in the right away at first but she really wanted to find something before she went to bed. So she started to reach back with her hand into the place that was dark....

As soon as he was out the door, Narrel sat straight up and stared at Georgia. The faint setting light on her in an eerie way. She looked like she had just chocked on something and survived. When she spoke, she even sounded like she had choked on something.
"I know for sure I didn't kill myself."
"What...." Narrel gave a little sigh "what if you did?"
"I don't know anymore!"
Narrel thought over this new information about her dear friend. Again, as a young child's mind would, it wandered to other subjects. Then the dresser came into view again.
"I know why you reacted so harshley when I spoke about the... I mean your dresser. Maybe there is something in there that you don't want me to see, or anyone for that matter. If you wont let me take a look inside, can you? It might help us solve this next mystery on our list."
So Georgia agreed and started over to the dresser. When she got there, she caught a glimpse of the mirror. All she saw was Narrel, and that made her hesitate to think more about what might be inside.
When she got to the drawers that were not locked, she had to put her head inside because she could only move things slightly. She saw that nothing was in them. But when poked her head inside the locked ones, she came out with a look that chilled Narrel right down to the bone.

"She lived in this house with me for a few years." he started.
Georgia sat straight soaking in what he was saying.
"I thought she was happy here, but when she killed herself, I didn't know what to think."
I couldn't talk. Georgia had never told me that she had killed herself! Suicide! It could not be!
"I thought she was murdered!"
"Oh, that was only a cover story. No one wants to hear about a little girl killing herself."
I looked over at Georgia, seeing her in a new light. But she was just as surprised as I was.
"Uncle, I am tired. May I go to bed now?"
"Of course. Good night." He lifted himself from the bed and seemed to remember himself. "Now I want you to stop wondering the house. That is an order! And no more questions!"
He briskly walked out of my room, almost slamming the door as he went.
(I read this sort of thing in a book once. About the girl killing herself, but this is different. He he.)

(That's Ok. I am trying to make this story as mysterious and scary as possible. READ EVERY POST from BEGINNING to the LAST!!!!!!)
"And what do you think you are talking about? A strange light? I now think that you should just not talk at all until spoken to."
"Well, you are speaking to me now so I might as well ask a question... Do you kn..."
"WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT ASKING QUESTIONS????"
"You said not to. Ok. I know a girl named Georgia Frank. I am guessing that you know her because the dresser has her name on it."
"Yes, well..." he flushed in the face even more than his usual pale color. Then he sort of forgot about his posture and slumped a little. Now it might have been the dim light behind him in the black hallway but Narrel and Georgia thought they saw a tear in his eye. "I might as well tell you how I know Georgia."
"I would be pleased to hear it." Her uncle sat down on the bed and so did she. They sat side by side looking at the dresser.

" Oh um... Well I thought you could sleep in a different room next door right past the bathroom because I found a vacuum that you can use." Georgia offered
"why can't I vacuum this room?" Narrel concluded
It took a second for Georgia to respond but the she recalled that there were no plugs in the room that narrel wanted to stay in.
while gathering all of her stuff to take to the room across the hallway Narrel dropped her black case of colored pencils. They spilled every where across the floor and under the bed. Narrel had to lay flat on her stomach to slide under the very uncomfortable bed to reach for the last of her pencils when she saw two plugs that she could of easily used to vacume with instead of moving all of her stuff.
Narrel knew her friend to well. she could read her like a deck of cards. For some reason Georgia did not want narrel to open or to touch this mysterious dresser of hers and Georgia would've done anything to stop her from doing so.

"I didn't think that it would harm your feelings but I think that since it is yours, you should look at what is inside it. I am very curious. Aren't you?"
"Not really, I know what is in there."
"Georgia, you told me how you died but how could this be YOUR dresser? What is your relation to that creepy guy who doesn't want me to ask questions?"
"I don't remember. But I know that that is my dresser because it has my name on it. See, right on the back of the mirror."
Sure enough, Georgia's name was on the back.
"Ok. I think that we need to get some things straight. First I find out if Mr. What's His Name knows you. Oh, I mean, knew you. Then I find out what is in the locked drawers. Last, I find out what the creepy light was in the bathroom. Do you think it could be another ghost?"
Georgia didn't reply. She was staring at something. And when Narrel turned around, the owner of the house was standing in the door way, staring her down with a glare that would scare even a ghost away.

Narrel woke up with a jolt, and an ache in her back. I wonder who used this bed last, she thought.
There were no clocks in the room but she knew that it was past five o'clock because her dinner was on a plate on the dresser in front of her bed. It was a foot taller than her and had a dark oak color to it. There were 10 drawers. Two had a key hole in them. This sparked Narrel's curiosity.
When she got out of the bad bed to get her dinner which was meat loaf and potatoes, the floor creaked erily beneath her feet. The shoes she was wearing made tracks on the floor.
"Georgia, do you see that?" Her dead friend was sitting on a rocking chair by the window.
"What?"
"Do you see any tracks leading to the dresser? Because I don't."
"No I don't. Weird."
Narrel was a little scared. "Did you see anyone come in? Or even hear someone?"
"I was sleeping just as you were. But I didn't hear anyone come in and you know that I am a light sleeper."
Narrel walked over to her plate and carried it over to her dusty bed. The food was still warm so they must have come in recently.
"This food is pretty good!"
"I wouldn't be saying that to ME!"
The two friends shared a laugh. Then Narrel remembered the "key-hole" drawers.

Georgia stayed where she was like she has seen this before but Narrel was wide eyed and could not make a sound or make her muscles move.
But within five seconds, it was gone and the lights turned on.
"What was THAT? Why did the lights turn on?"
Behind her she heard the wheezing voice of her host.
"Do not ask questions about my house. You are to stay in your room for the rest of the night. I will send supper to you around five o'clock. Do not bother me again or you won't have the plesure of me sending you supper. Good night."
Shocked, Narrel started for her room but forgot that she didn't look at the bathroom.
Inside, there were the normal things you would find. A toilet, a bathtub/shower, a sink, a medicine cabnet, a full length mirror...
"Does that mirror look strange to you Gerogia? Like, there is something behind it?"
"Yeah, it does! But let's not upset old grumpy any more. We can look more closley another day."
So they set off to the room, but all the while Narrel had so many questions going through her head that she wanted to ask but couldn't, it made her tired.
Getting back to the room, she shook off the bed that was dusty and climed in. Even though it was three o'clock, she fell asleep right away anticipating what wierd thing and mysteries would be unlocked during her stay.

"Well," Narrel walked out of the room with Georgia "let's go explore the rest of this dreary place."
So Narrel and her best dead friend set off down the hallway.
"First things first. Let's find the bathroom."
Georgia let out a laugh. They strolled down the grey, gloomy hallway. Each room door was shut. They passed five till they finaly reached their destination. Looking inside was a totally different from what they expected.

Even the bedspread had black flowers on it. A million vases were around the room holding black roses. Each rose was slightly covered in dust, the evidence no one had been in here for a while.
"Did someone die in here?" Narrel asked Georgia, lifting her nose. There was a faint stench.
"I don't know."
"I hope not."
Narrel put down her suitcase. The small impact of the suitcase on the floor sent a cloud of dust. Narrel wheezed to catch her breath.

Narrel looked at Georgia and she looked back. They headed up to the room togther and when they walked in the black, chilling room, they could hardley believe their eyes.

When he looked at me, it sent a shiver down my spine. His eyes took in nothing. I doubt he even saw me.
"Now that you are here, I am going back to my office," he stated and slowly walked away.

I had always imagined Uncle Warwick as a grumpy old man; probably really old. But when I walked in the huge doors, he was simply standing there.
His eyes seemed blank, but he was young in age. Mother was 40 or so, but this man was no more than 30. He was a very pale color and his clothes sagged around his frail body.
"What's wrong with him?" whispered Georgia.
"I don't know," I mumbled back. But of course, I didn't move my lips. I knew better than that. All the kids in kindergarten had teased me when I had talked to her with my lips.
"Ghosty is talking again!" they taunted. "Who is it now? Liza? Gabriel? Ha ha!"

Narrel opened her eyes and took in the scenery around her. The green trees would be perfect to climb in with Georgia.
The clean street seemed too clean, though. The houses were too perfect. Everything was too good for Narrel and her friend.
It was always "Narrel and Georgia". Narrel knew that Georgia would be mad if she was left out. Narrel was the only thing that kept her on the earth, so it would always be "Narrel AND Georgia".
The horse-drawn buggy turned another corner, and the house was shown for the first time. It was a huge manor with dark outside walls. The manor reminded Narrel of the house Mama had always talked about. This WAS the house Mama had always talked about. This was Uncle Warwick's house.
The buggy pulled right into the driveway and stopped at the front door.

Another person created a role play game, so I thought it would be fun. I want the story to be a sort of ghost story murder mystery. Maybe a bit creepy, but not keep me up at night creepy.
My character: Narrel Age: 15 Description: A pretty girl, but not wanted by anyone. An orphan, she grew up with no one to trust. Wears worn out clothes, but her beauty overwhelms everyone she sees. The only reason she is not wanted, is because she is a bit strange. Her only friend is a girl who died 9 years ago. They were friends while the girl was alive, and when she was murdered by an unknown person, they stayed that way. They are always talking to each other, trying to find out who murdered her.
(We are going to need a person to be the ghost. Just so ya know, the girl is 6)
