Those goals are not healthy, safe or realistic. A healthy rate of weight loss for a teen is 1 pound a week on average. There may be some weeks that you lose less than that or more than that, but you want to aim for 1 pound a week. By doing that, you are losing in a healthy way while allowing your body the proper growth and development and you will be more likely to keep the weight off.

So please set healthy, safe and realistic goals for yourself. By following your SparkTeens plan, you will be able to reach your goals.

I want to lose 12 lbs by may 30.

It depends on your weight and BMI on how fast you lose it.

I'm 132 currently and about 5' 3". So I think my goal is do-able.

What about you?
