Absolutely not!
If you decide to lose the weight for him, it will only begin the process of you losing yourself. Where will it end? Someone doesn't like you because you're too skinny? Too pretty? Too ugly? Too smart? Or maybe they just don't like you for no reason at all! Every person is different and it's impossible to please everyone. You would end up losing yourself and that's the reason he loves you in the first place. If he doesn't love you for you, then what does he love you for? If he doesn't love you for you, then he doesn't love you. Don't put on a façade because then he'll fall in love with the wrong person-- a person who doesn't even exist!
Lose the weight because you have love for yourself.
P.S. Not every guy wants a lamp post (in fact, not many do).

| If he doesn't like you for you, then tell him the piss off. You shouldn't be losing weight for him, do it for yourself!

| Definitely do it for yourself. You can't please other people as you can't be able to love someone if you don't love yourself first. If you are making a change, do it because it's going to better yourself not the outlook in someone else's eyes. Of course everyone wants to look more attractive for the person they are with, but emotionally, that shouldn't matter to him if he truly cares for you.

I agree with the other girls, never change yourself for a guy, its all about what you want for yourself. Girls always make this mistake because they want to be what most guys like, but in reality you should be looking for a guy that likes you reguardless of whatever changes you make to yourself.
My boyfriend liked me when I weighed the most I've ever had before and he always told me that I am beautiful reguardless. Now that I am losing weight, he still says it but reminds me that it doesn't matter.

if a guy were to say to you, you know what i only like blondes... do you think you can dye your hair? would you do it? what about if they said, hm i'm only into jewish girls & say u were catholic? are you gonna convert... i dont think so unless its marriage & most people dont even then!
my point is, you should never do something you dont want to, do it for you. if you loose weight to please him just think of all the other stuff you're gonna have to do to keep up to his high standards. loose it for your health & for yourself

| Dude, if someone doesn't like for who you are inside and out then they are not worth the energy and time wasting over. You lose weight for yourself, not for what other people want you to look like. Because no matter what you will do, usually people will never be pleased.
