| Bicycle riding gives you a good workout in your legs, also!

| I second on swimming. You can even do the squats and lunges in the pool or lake when it's warmer. It's easy on the joints then.

Cardio will help you lose the fat and doing squats and lunges will help you strengthen those areas. Take a look in the Fitness Resource Center for some other exercises too.
