That sounds like a little bit of an aggressive goal. A healthy weight loss for a teen is 1 pound a week on average and your goal is slightly above that. So you do want to be careful about that and make sure you are aiming for the 1 pound a week. Also, remember, weight loss is rarely consistent. Some weeks you may not lose and others you may lose more than 1 pound.

At age 16, I am currently 232.7 pounds. That's a lot of extra weight to carry at ANY age. So, on my birthday 10 days ago, I made a goal. (I was 15 and 246.5 pounds.) I started a diet and a goal. I've been down to 200 pounds before, and my god did it feel good. Despite, I'm going to try even harder to lose it again. Now, I'm going to try and get down to 170 pounds by my 17th birthday. Does this seem fair to you? It does to me. Any who, please give me your thoughts. :) Thanks!~
