A goal of 2 pounds a week is healthy for an adult, not a teen. A teen should aim more for a goal of 1 pound a week.

| I wouldn't try to make a goal that harsh. I think two pounds a week is a reasonable goal. I want to lose 30 - 40 pounds in six months. That is about 4 - 6 pounds a month. I think that is a good goal. By my prom next june abdI want to be 140 pounds. I weigh 211. I wouldn't try to make a goal with the chance of feeling like you fail if it doesn't work out that way.

| Good luck. I have similiar goals. Make sure you're being realistic with your time frame though. That's a lot of weight rather quickly.

| I real wat to loose weight i would like to loose at least 40 pounds by june and 70 by late augest. The reson why is i'm tired the fat jokes and the teasing and name calling example (gorilla)or gorge lopez head.plus i want to start over i'm starting high school in augest and i want to get skinny get on the cheer leading squad and get a hole new closet of cothes.i want to have curves like beyonce or tyra banks.
