Setting a goal for yourself at a place where you are most comfortable at is what I would suggest. Working on healthy habits will help you lose weight and as you go along, your body will reshape itself and you may change your mind in where you want to be and where you feel most comfortable at. Also, don't worry so much about the weight, there are other ways to measure your success too (how your clothes fit, your fitness levels, how you feel, etc.).

You may want to take a look at A Teen's Guide to Weight and Body Confidence.

Hope this helps!

Hi! I'm new here, and I'm so glad that I found this website! I've been trying to start exercising for a while now, but I just haven't had any motivation. But I've got a dilemma - I'm 175, 5'6, and 15 yrs old. Most would say that, just from seeing the numbers, I'm fat or something. But I'm not. I just hide fat in all the right places. Professions say I should be 137 but to me that seems WAY to skinny. What should I do? I personally don't think I need to lose THAT much weight (I just want to get into shape). Suggestions are wonderful!!
