Hi Megan, it is perfectly ok to have carbs. You actually need them to give your body energy, but you want to choose more complex carbs rather than simple carbs. Here is an article that I'm sure you will find useful: The Truth About Carbs.

my problem with dieting is carbs. i don't go over 333 carbs per day, but i still eat a lot of them. i swim around four or five times a week and walk a mile usually four times a week. is it ok if i have carobs then because i work out?
