I don't have a "lose this many pounds goal." I like where I'm at, even if it's technacally overweight. But I'm planning on staying active throughout the rest of my high school career, and into college. I also plan on drinking more water and trying to eat right.

You can get your body fat percentage checked to see how much muscle you have. In order to lose fat, cardio is the best way to get rid of it. You say you have some fat on your stomach, you may want to take a look at Fitness Secrets for abs of Steel.

how do u know that by exercising so much you are not just building muscle? because i already do alot of sport and i do have a muscly body but i have some fat on my stomach. I can feel the muscle in my stomach tho. do i have to do more exercise than i already do to lose weight? as you get fitter should you exercise more to lose weight? should i be exercising more or eating less?

Sarah is correct, that is not a healthy rate to lose weight. As a teen, a healthy rate for weight loss is about 1 pound a week. Your body is still growing and developing so it needs more nutrients and calories to do so. Even for adults, it is recommended to lose no more than 2 pounds a week. So please make sure you have set realistic goals for yourself. You may want to read A Teen's Guide to Nutrition & Healthy Eating.

It's not healthy to lose more than three pounds a week. So you should't aim for more then three.

I would like to lose 5 or 10 pounds. I don't really care if I LOOK five or ten pound slighter I just want to lose it to help keep my confidance up. I also REALLY want to thin down my thighs which bug me a lot.

HI guyz, u all seem really determined and i hope you reach your goals!! I wanna lose about ten pounds by begining of feb. coz i'm traveling and i wanna look gd!lol. I also wanna be able to look gd in fitted tennis tanks for the competition season!

Hello everyone, my new year's resolution is to lose about 45 pounds, before my upcomming tennis and soccer teams start.Or more realistically, before summer starts.

What's wrong with losing?... I signed up on a gym!!! I'm gonna lose weight this summer (because here it's summer) and i'm gonna have to look great on my bikini..or else i won't wear it.

I want to lose 30 pounds in at least 2 months.I am about 135 now, but I'm 11 years old! Thats not good. I take karate twice a week and jazzercise every Sat., for 1 hour.I hope you all reach your goals! GOOD LUCK!!!!!

My Goals for 2008 right now!
I want to lose weight first of all.
once again, lose weight. Now to reach that huge goal I will have tiny little goals to go along with that. So joining a gym. Thats a start, and feeling comfortable excersisng there. I get so embarressed to tell family and friends I'm joining a gym. I'm also embarressed to workout in front of others. I am going to overcome that tho. I eat overall healthy, but another goal would be to eliminate junkfood, like after school junk food. stress is what brings on the junk food for me, and just maybe I will be able to workout , reliving stress, and then lose out on the junk food. My overall weight loss goal is a big wooping 15 pounds by my birthday, march 18....yaa. 135 now to 120. Then from there I'll reset and make new goals. It will be wonderful to seee what I can accomplish.

To get down to 120-125 and maintain that weight. Go to the gym more often. Stop eating red meat, and feel better about myself.

Im sorry but do you think 92 pounds is a healthy weight? I think you are fine just the way you are and it shouldn't be a competition of who loses more weight. As long as you are healthy and taking care of your body that is all that counts!

I Want to lose 10 pounds by march. I want to weight 97lbs, right now i'm like 110 or 112, but since i'm too short (5'2'') i need to look better. Also because my sister wants to lose weight i want to lose more than her and look better than her. I need to stop eating junk food, more veggies, more water and stop snacking. And i will!

I want to lose some weight...obviosuly. Mostly just to feel better about myself. Anything will do, I think If I even lost 10 pounds Id be happy. My goal is going to be 30 between now and this time next year. I also want to start eating new things, and be more healthy. I want to start going to the gym again, and not make so many excuses like I always do. I just want to feel better about myself all around. And to gain better self-control, because thats what my weight issue is all about. I just cant stop eating unhealthy food. I bake a lot and cook, so I want to switch around what I do to make it much more healthier. :)

now that you mention it i would like to lose about 35 pounds by next september. ( For when school starts) I also am wanting to workout a least 2-3 times a week and drink 2 litres of water a day. An for the second time i am not going to drink pop. I have already done that for one years lets try two. thats all i think. hope you do well in the new year.

Okay so it might be a LITTLE early for this, but does anyone have their New Years resolutions yet? I always think of mine a few weeks early because it gives me time to get a head start.

Anyway, my main New Years resolution this year is to lose 50 pounds by this time next year. I really want to lose it by summertime, but next Christmas is a more realistic and healthy goal because that's losing about a pound every week.

I also want to go vegetarian (I'm still waiting for my parents to decide if I'm allowed to, because while it is my decision what I eat, it's their decision what they buy and what they cook), exercise more, eat more fruits and veggies and less junk food, and get a job.

Anyone else have their resolutions yet?
