Hey,
I know how you feel. I've been hanging around friends a lot smaller than me my entire life. So, I've finally decided to take action. As for sucking in your stomach, it's better not to, the more air oxygen you breath in the better! That way when you work out you won't get as winded. I'm not entirely sure about swinging your legs...if you feel your getting a good work out then perhaps. Little things help too. Good luck with your goal. I've decided to not set a date for my 30 lbs. weight loss simply because I feel intimidated and discouraged if I have one.

But I'm ready to lose the weight. I've always been the bigger one in any of my friendship circles and I've always felt awkward and pool parties and the such. I constantly suck in my stomach around people (btw, is that unhealthy to do?) Also, will simple things such as swinging my legs while sitting help? So now I want to lose 20-40 pounds I can be a healthy weight.
