Welcome to SparkTeens! It's great that you started working out, but there are a few things that you want to do to help prevent soreness. You want to make sure you start out slowly, don't try to do too much at first. Also, make sure you do a cool-down and stretch after you work out. There are many other factors that may help you with you workouts and preventing soreness. You may want to take a look at the following articles for more tips:

I'm a newbie, and my goal is to also stay fit and shed some inches. It's really hard to motivate myself, so thats why I think this site is so great. Hopefully, others in the same situation will be able to support me and vice versa. I started my work-out regime yesterday, and I am so sore! Is soreness a bad thing, did I over-do it?

I really just want to focus and stick to this, its been really hard to do that in the past. But I think this site can help alot. How has it worked for you guys thus far?
