| Sometimes I eat when I'm stressed. When I have a lot to do, I'll sometimes be rushing around trying to get everything done and forget to eat at all, and other times instead of doing everything I will sit down on the couch with a bag of chips. If I'm worried about something, I will either be too worried to eat at all or I will completely pig out. It's like it's one or the other for me, and neither one is a good habit to have.

I eat when im stress. i hate it b/c i get sad b/c ive ate so much after. Now im more stressed. i swear i have an eating disorder

| yeah finals start tomorrow for me and i just eat quick meals now and it usually turns out just to be unhealthy things
|

| Definitely... school just keeps getting harder. This means that I am just eating more and more.

I used to have that problem but now I just stop and think and if the need becomes too overwhelming I at least try to make the healthiest choice or I'll skip out on some other unhealthy food later. Try to use music to help you - then instead of eating you might end up dancing!

Stress eating is a HUGE problem for me. Especially right when I get home from school. So what works for me is to eat a small snack (usually a granola bar) before I get home and then when I do get home immediately get a giant glass of water and then do something to keep myself busy. Hope it helps.

| I know what you mean. I have a habit of eating out of stress, depression, boredom, anger, etc. But lately I've been working on doing other things to keep me busy like running and lifting weights. I also read and go online whenever I feel bored or stressed.

| you can use other ways to escape besides food but most people suffer with this problem they eat for many different reasons urs being stress and being unhappy but food is only a temporary fix because when u finish eating all that food u feel worse then when u started so when ur stressed or upset put that energy and frustration into working out or write it down listen to music talk to somebody u trust try not to run to food. here on sparkteens we all suffer with the same problems so we understand and we are here and so r the coaches. try to put ur energy and frustration into another thing that will benefit u. take a walk or do yoga its really helpful. anything else that u like doing. i use my stress and frustration on working out it makes me feel better. when i get teased and i feel ugly and extremely fat i work out i get motivated by those things. i hope this helps.

| Here's my biggest obstacle in weight loss: stress eating. It's usually worst when I come home from school, I'm just so overwhelmed and all I can do is sit down and eat. I eat lunch, but when I get home I eat more than I do at any of my meals. It's also really bad if I'm really upset, like last night, at 11 I had chocolates, cookies, pretzels, and Peanut Butter because I was so unhappy. It had been such a good day with eating, too. It's my goal to find a way to comfort myself without filling my stomach.
