I think it would be better if you focus on some key lifestyle changes you can make like exercizing everyday, eating fruits& veggies, and focusing on a special talent you have. Good luck on losing the weight though! Hopefully you'll chose a date that is not so close. I myself am trying to lose 17 pounds by April.

That's a lot to lose by x-mas. Try to just get into good habits instead of regarding what's on the scale. I don't even own a scale and I can feel myself getting thinner and getting more energy just from what I'm doing.

You have been given some good advice here. A healthy weight loss for teens is no more than 1 pound a week. Losing 15 pounds by Christmas is not a realistic or healthy. You want to set realistic and healthy goals for yourself which would be to lose about 1 pound a week.

Also, you should try to not focus so much on the number on the scale. Take notice in some other things like how you feel, how your clothes fit, etc. Sometimes you can lose fat and gain muscle, which the scale may show that as though you stayed the same or gained, but in reality you lose inches because muscle takes less space than fat. So the scale doesn't always show your true progress, so do your best to not let that be the only way you measure your progress.

Hope this helps!

As Lilhayesgrl said that is not very healthy to lose that much weight in a short amount of time. I'd aim for a 5-7lb weight loss. Just eat healthy and exercise, much safer and better results.

That is a lot of weight to lose in a short period of time...I'm not an expert, but I don't think that is very healthy. I think you should maybe just try to lose 5 pounds or less by then...it doesn't seem like much, but if you keep losing about a pound a week and are consistent with it, then you will stay healthy and also you will reach your goal. Maybe not right away, but eventually!! Well good luck!!!
