Great job so far!
As for a short term goal, it can be anything really. You can have some short term goals for your fitness, drinking water, eating a certain amount of fruits & veggies each day, etc. Have you taken a look at the motivation section of the Resource Center yet? There is a section in there on goal setting techniques that can help you with that.
