| I've had the same problem! Like a lot of you I was a stick skinny until like 5th grade. That's when I went through puperty, got boobs, and got a little bit chunky, not like fat, but more like my body just started to fill out. My calves were always bigger than the other girls, and I was tall, I had big feet, and boobs. Then my parents pulled me outta school to homeschool me. I don't regret it now, but back then it was like they took my entire life away from me. School was all I had. So, I ate. I mean, I was home all day, what else was there to do? I've always loved too cook, bake in particular, so I'd make sweets and eat them. My mom use tell me to stop because I was getting fat, she'd really get on me about it. As a result I ate more, just because she told me not to. By the time I got to 9th grade I was 180lbs and battling with extremely low self esteem. I hated myself. I was using slim fast to "lose weight." Never lost a thing. I stopped after a while, then went up to 190. Once I realized my self esteem was ****ed, I started going to the self-help section of the library. I ended up reading a book called Fat!So?, which taught me to be happy with myself as I was. That's when I sorta went to the opposite end of the spectrum. I ate whatever I wanted, didn't care about gaining weight, only about who I was. So now I weight 205lbs. I had that whole "whoops" moment when I couldn't fit into a bunch of my clothes the summer after 10th grade. That's when I realized I need to change, because I am praticually killing myself with the food I eat. I'm still pretty confident in who I am, and I believe that whether fat or thin I will always be the same on the inside.

| Well I've always been chubby, since I was little. My sisters, and everyone else around me wasn't. I hated it. I was surrounded by negativity my entire life in my family. I was not a fat kid, I just was a little chubby. After 8th grade I lost a lot of weight, because I entered into highschool and I had less time to eat with hw and stuff. At the end of 9th grade and went on vaca with my family to visit relatives, and they all said I changed a lot! I was so happy with my body then. But now, being a junior, I feel a lot chubby, particularly in my mid section, and I HATE it. So now I'm doing something about it by coming on here, and hopefully I'll maintain my weight and not forget about this site.

Up until 4th grade, I was a STICK! And then, I quit cheerleading. Also, whenever my dad asked me what I wanted to do, I would say Go Swimming! or Go Roller Skating! and I rode my bike everyday after I did my homework. What happened to the good old days? lol
Anyways, I got up to the 160s by the time I was in 8th grade and it had to stop. So, I started watching what I ate and I lost about 30 pounds in a year, maintained that for a year with horrible eating habits, and now I'm here to get rid of these last few pounds. I'm not overweight anymore, but I'm not 100% happy with the way I look. :(

For me, its just me and my mom that are overweight, everyone else isn't, so they can eat whatever they want and not gain weight. Because of this we always have junk food at my house. Its hard to not eat it when its right in front of you, so i just kept on getting bigger...

| I went through my childhood eating a lot of food that I did not know was bad for me. We never really learned about nutrition in school or anything. So I ate a lot of cookies, chips, and chocolate. So then by the time I was in middle school I was overweight, not obviously so though because I played sports so I had a lot of muscle on me. Now however, I quit sports to keep up with school, which has caused me so much stress that I have issues losing weight, even when I dont eat a lof of bad foods.

| For me,my family and I basically ate a lot and I mean A LOT! We were basically one of the families whom didn't find any problems with weight related issues until my siblings and I were practically in our teens. I basically lost almost 66 pounds last year but added 12lbs this year as I had too much pressure on me to pass my finals to get into a good college next year.

I used to be really skinny as a child but then I had this huge drama in middle school and got depressed and resorted to stuffing my face. Ugh. It didn't help that I stopped growing around there too. Suddenly I was overweight and I didn't care much but now in Freshman year I want to fix it. And by want, I mean I will fix it.

| I was overweight most of my life. Then, my freshman year, I began to eat much more healthily and lost a lot of weight. However, I gained it all back my sophomore year and I now weigh 50 pounds more than I did three years ago. So that's why I'm here! My goal is to lose 35 pounds before graduation.

| Well, I was always the chubby one in my family and in my group of friends. Two years ago I lost 20 lbs and I was down to 114lbs. I was so happy with myself at that weight that I stopped all the things I had been doing to lose the weight. So over the course of 2 more years of not growing any taller, I was heavier than when I first started! Now I am doing something about it!
