| I'm not sure exactly how much you have to do, but 30 minutes a day is normal and healthy. It really depends on what you're doing too. You can burn a lot of calories in just 30 minutes of cycling than let's say walking for the same amount time. how many calories you burn depends a lot on your metabolism and what activity you do. But just doing 10 min. 3 times a day is good, especially if you can't do it all at one time!

Being realistic, you could lose it by the end of the year or about 7lbs a month. But because of the age thing set on here you can lose 1-2 lbs in a healthy manner and get to 200 by around the end of february/march. Some people lose weight faster than others, so it can vary with you. Umm as for your schedule. That depend on what time you wake up and go to bed. I get up at 6am and on most nights get home a little after 8pm. If I can get up early, I do a workout dvd and if I get in late, but not to late to workout, I'll get on the treadmill and walk/jog a mile or two.
The best advice I can say since you're working is to invest in a low price but good treadmill, or buy some workout dvds. I think you have to be 18,(I'm 19) but anyways...I bought hip hop abs and it's so much fun. The treadmill will be good for when you have 15-30min to spare and I have one with a big enough space to put a book on so I can study at the same time. So I do two things at once haha..workout dvds are good too, especially when it's too hot outside or the weather is just bad. Just find some that you like. Best wishes and I hope you meet your goal!

Another option would be to wake up an hour early and walk on the treadmill or go walk outside (it will be nice an cool at 6am). :)
And, losing 28 pounds? Well, it's a good estimate that, if you eat healthy and exercise regularly, you can lose 1-2 pounds a week. So, 7 months at the most, but 3.5 months at the least.
Good luck!

Welcome to Spark Teens! Busy schedules can make it hard to fit exercise in but making the most of the time you have can make a difference. When you walk to the bus, walk briskly so that you are elevating your heart rate. When you go up a set of stairs at school or around town, run up them, again to elevate your heart rate. Use those small opportunities add up during the day.
On the eating side, make smart choices with your meals - select baked or broiled foods instead of fried, as well as fruits, veggies, whole grains if possible, fat free dairy and lean meats and save the sweets for special occasions. You will be surprised the success you will see from all those small little changes made together.

| I'm a 17 year old guy that's REALLY busy. I eat salad and things like that when I can, but that is only lunch. I get home from school at 3:30 and have to leave at 5:30 to go to driver's ed. Everything is too far away to bike to, and I don't have many friends. If I don't have driver's ed, then I have to work. I weigh 228 lbs, but I want to get down to 200 for now. Anyone have any good ideas for me to lose weight with my bus schedule? Also, I need a good deadline for my to reach 200 lbs.
