My family looooves scalloped potatoes!! I just made them the other night and you'd have thought I was feeding them ice cream for dinner, both kids cheered! They've missed it while I've been cooking healthier!!
Can't wait to try that lower calorie recipe!

LOW FAT SCALLOPED POTATOES
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup light butter 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 3 cups skim milk 8 medium raw potatoes, peeled and cubed 4 small onions, chopped 12 turkey bacon strips, cooked and crumbled 1/2 cup low fat parmasan cheese
DIRECTIONS
1. In a saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour and salt until smooth. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.Take pan off stove and add the cheese and stir to mix.
2. In a greased baking dish, layer the potatoes and onions. Pour white sauce over the top . Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 60 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Sprinkle with bacon before serving.

| Yay! People also laugh at me because I always eat the skin of the poatoe first. I like it and its good for you!

I fixed them and sprinkled it with shredded farmers¡¦ cheese and he loved it!! He said I thought you were going to start dieting LOL!!! I said that is why the skins are still on them. And you have 1 slice of ham. He said oh ok. Thanks so much Brenda ƒº

| try using low fat milk and cheese and dont tell him and he wont notice the difference! also dont peel the potatoes and leave the skin on for more fiber

Hi everyone, my husband loves Scalloped cheese Potatoes and they are so full of fat calories have any ideas on cutting the fat and calories? He is no help he needs to loose weight but if there is no potatoes at a meal. It is not complete, help! Brenda
