1 box any flavor cake mix 1 can any flavor diet soda 1 sm. package sugar free/fat free pudding mix, any flavor 8oz. non fat milk (I used 2% milk) 1/4 cup powdered sugar 8oz. container cool whip free
Directions
Preheat oven to 350* mix cake mix and diet soda, bake for 30 minutes until firm. Cool completely. (nothing else, just cake mix and soda)
For Frosting
mix pudding mix and milk, add powder sugar and mix, add flavoring, mix. then blend in cool whip, mix and refrigerate til ready to use. Frost cake and enjoy!! Keep refrigerated.
(you can also mix in Peanut Butter for higher calorie count.)

I finally baked a cake tonight with diet soda and pudding/cool whip for frosting and it came out great. I think I used a little too much diet soda but I'll modify it for the next time. Overall, the cake was delicious and everyone loved it.
I have also heard about using the soda...heard it came out so good, you would never know the difference. You can top your cupcakes or cake with fat free cool whip instead of frosting.

Mix one cake mix with one can of diet soda (no other ingredients) ... bake per directions on box.
I prefer to make these as cupcakes and use the paper liners to make individual portions and make clean up super easy.
