I've gotten some box recipes that take 20 minutes to cook and not 1 hour. You could shop around for different kinds that might not take as long to cook.

Cooked wild rice will store in the refrigerator for a week. No taste is lost in refrigeration, but rather, it seems to actually enhance the flavor.
Wild rice freezes well and will keep for six months when drained well and stored in an air-tight container. Cooking and freezing rice ahead of time allows you the convenience of having it ready for use in your favorite recipes.
Uncooked wild rice will store indefinitely in a cool, dry place.

Don't freeze it, but it'll be good for up to a week after cooking if you keep it in a sealed container in the fridge.

I work 3 days a week. I love Spark recipes and I have noticed that some of them call for wild rice. I love wild rice but after work 12 hour days, I don't have the hour it takes to cook it. I was wondering if I precook it on a day I don't work. How long will it last in the fridge. Anyone freeze precooked wild rice and if so how well did it work in recipes after frozen?
