I've never heard of them going bad. I had a bottle of soy sauce on time that look like it settled a litte bit just shook it up and used it and it tasted fine. I would use it.

I think I have had my bottle for more than 5 years, and I'm still using it....

I read once that the only thing that never spoils is honey. I would suspect that vinegar and soy sauce would take years to go bad. I would use them both.

I have a recipe that calls for rice vinegar, which I have but I've had it for a long, long time. It smells fine but is it? Same goes for soy sauce. Do these types of things ever expire?
