Beef vs. Pork question

I live in Costa Rica and my Spanish is not very good (although I do know the difference between pork and beef).

I went to buy a kilo of porkroast (w/o a bone). Sounds rather simple huh? As I was cutting the fat off of it I noticed that is is a bit redder than I expected the pork to be which led me to believe it might actually be beef and not pork.

Tomorrow I am planning on making a pulled pork recipe in the Crockpot . . . should it make any difference using beef vs. pork? I don't want it to get too dried out or anything (although I know it is hard to dry anything out in a crock pot).

Anyway, any thoughts on this would be helpful.

Thanks.
