Jell-O is the brand name. Gelatin is the generic name for what you describe. The entry in the Nutrition Tracker uses both terms so you should find it easily.

We call the stuff you add boiling water to Jello. Jam has seeds and jelly does not. Hope this helps.

i think you call it jelly and i call it jam.
so i need to know if im doing custard and jelly (out of a packet ,pour over boiled water and leave to set ) to me that is the jelly .
so what do you call english jelly so that i can find it on the recipee calculator to do a trifle.
please help me out of confusion
