i find the best way is to promise to take an overwieght friend with you to diet and excersize classes . the best friend to take is one who cant drive and wants to come.
you will never miss a class because your friend depends on YOU

We all have had to face the fact that nothing will change for the better until we make better choices on a regular basis. I remind myself of that each day and it seems to get me going.

Hi Powderpuff - I am sorry you are feeling frustrated. It can be hard to get started. Have you done all the things SP suggested? Find a photo of yourself or someone else at the size you want to be? Hang it near the computer. Start with small steps - don't try to lose 3 - 5 pounds the first week if you don't already have healthy habits. Pick one or two things to do consistently - drink 8 cups of water a day and stick to it! Or maybe commit to walking 2 or 3 times a week - SCHEDULE it into your week just like you would a doctor's appointment and then stick to it.

A few small things will begin to help you to make the changes you want. Eventually, you will begin to feel that you are making healthier choices and then the weight will begin to come off. It's about becoming a healthier person, not about a diet or classes or losing weight.

You have taken a good step by joining SP - keep up the good work!

Why is it so hard to get motivated ?The thing is with me I get started n then I stop.Ive tried diet programs ,went to classes but then I stop.Im so down on myself all the time.Could someone please out there help me get past this frustration n start complimenting myself instead of downing myself.
