Skim milk, cocoa powder, cinnamon.
Skim milk, cocoa powder, mint flavoring.
Skim milk, cocoa powder, instant coffee grinds.
Skim milk, cocoa powder, a piece of banana to thicken it (blenderize).
My cocoa of choice is Safeway Premium Cocoa. I sometimes add 1/16 tsp Stevia. It's just enough to take out any bitterness and there's no aftertaste.

I just can't get use to the taste of sweeteners... I think they taste somewhat chemical... I love the real thing! Sugar is my drug, even though I'm getting pretty good at having just a bit to get over the cravings... So a hot chocolate mix is better for me...

I second what Latebloomer said....don't bother with a mix, use real cocoa and your own sweetener (I personally use stevia, as it's also calorie-free). I use a cup of skim milk, a TBSP of cocoa (I may ahve to try a teaspoon...if it gives a good chocolatey kick, I'm happy to use less!), and 1/2 tsp of the stevia. Oh, a dash of cinammon in it is good also :)

One cup hot skim milk, one teaspoon cocoa powder, and one or two packets of splenda to taste. Much richer than any of the cheaper store brands, and the total calories per cup is about 85. (80 for the mik and almost nothing for the cocoa).
This stuff saved me from my chocolate milk addiction!

| Here in Québec, we have a Nesquik powder with 1/3 less sugar. It's only 60 calories per serving. So I use one serving of powder, with 1 cup of boiling water, and about 1/4 cup milk. A great treat for afternoon snack!

Love the Swiss Miss sugar-free. I have also tried the low calorie Cadbury kind and it's just as good!

| I like the Swiss Miss no sugar added, but I also just saved a recipe on Spark recipes for a no sugar added hot cocoa mix you can make yourself. I'm going to try it!

| I got a generic brand at Walmart last winter and it was under 100 calories. If I felt like it, I added some reduced fat whipped cream. Yum!

| I like the Swiss Miss brands. They have the diet/low fat kind or the sugar-free kind depending on which you need less of. I think the are under 100 calories per cup if you use water.

Now that it is starting to get chilly in the midwest, I am on a search for the best low-cal/fat hot chocolate I can find. Does anyone have any suggestions, or any homemade recipes? I would love to hear them!
Thanks Tricia
