Perhaps you can help me with my bread baking.
I have lots of recipes for breads & pizza dough I enjoy, but they all call for yeast. Soon I will be doing a yeast/ candida cleanse and cannot eat breads made with yeast.
Is there a way to translate the sugar + yeast in my existing recipes for something with baking powder &/or baking soda, or some other acceptable leaving agent?

I prefer to dole out suggestions rather than recipees so what I would suggest is to try some reduced fat or fat free salad dressings like try Balsamic it is a little higher in fat but has full flavor one down side is that it changes the color and makes some things unappetizing you can use vegetables to make the tuna taste better and so as to not be so dry add onions, bell peppers, Radishes, Pickels or relish, try salsa or pico de gallo. you can flake tuna over green salad and mix tuna with fruit like madrine oranges, Papaya, Mangoes. Tuna is a great medium but the canned stuff can be dry and a little bland I prefer to marinate a nice fresh yellow fin and grill it off and eat it with salad with fruit. keep trying until you find somthing that you like Zanlan

Zanlan, I'd like some recipees with tuna fish. what can I mix with it to make it low cal and still taste good. I'm trying to get away from miracle whip and mayo and do not like the low fat versions. Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated. Welcome to Spark. I've been with Spark for a little over a week and these sites are wonderful, they really help to keep you motivated. Look forward to hearing from you. Have a wonderful day.

I think you'll be able to help people a lot. I see tons of posts from people who are trying to figure out how to either make a healthier version of a recipe or how to cook a food they've never tried before. I am not a chef but my stepfather is and my mother owned a restaurant when I was younger and she is a great cook so I try to help as much as I can. I think just in general there is a huge lack of knowledge on how to prepare fresh tasty foods without all the frying, creamy cheesy additions. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate a good rich dish, but helping people realize that those foods should only be eaten once in a while and that there is a WHOLE WORLD of delicious food options will encourage people to try new things. Welcome to SP - look forward to seeing you on the boards. Best wishes. ps- if you've got any great tip on preparing a butternut squash other than the obvious just baking it, I'd love to hear as I have one that is going to get cooked this weekend.
